What tire size for 7J x 16 original? Audifelt

Hello!!!

What is the maximum tire size I can fit on the original [vehicle/rim/etc.]? Audifelge (5 stars) - are you talking about driving?
The standard tires that come installed from the factory are 205/55 R16.

Can I also use tires with a size of 215 or 225, and will the TÜV (German technical inspection agency) approve them?

Hi, a different tire size on the 7J rims won't make much of a difference and would definitely require approval from the TÜV (German technical inspection authority). I have 205/55 tires on my A3 with 7.5Jx16 rims for the summer, and you have the same size on your rims. If you measure the contact patch of the tires, they are 1cm wider on the 7.5J rims. On our A6, we have 215 tires on the 5-arm wheels, and they are not significantly wider than the 205 tires I have.
