Hey guys
How are you doing? May I ask a question, and hopefully get an answer?
I work for a large vehicle manufacturer in the development department as an automotive electrician, and I have quite a good understanding of diagnostics and related areas.
However, my private equipment seems quite limited. I bought a USB diagnostic tool on eBay this week, but it doesn't include any software. Can you help me with this? What options do I have for obtaining software, or should I just buy new hardware? icon_biggrin.gif

I'd like to thank you in advance and would appreciate any responses!

Otherwise, read something in the forum and experiment with the shareware.

Hello,

It depends on what you want to do. Generally, USB adapters that connect via a virtual serial port and don't have their own intelligence (microcontroller) are not reliable with all control devices.

Regards, Rainer.

Thanks for the quick help. I only just saw this, and unfortunately, I'm a bit busy at the moment. I'm studying like crazy; I have my Master's exam, part 1 and 2, in a month, and it's really tough. But thanks again for the answer.
