Sure, here's the translation:

'I know this topic has been discussed a thousand times, but I'd like to make my 1.4 TDI PD engine a bit faster. Unfortunately, a simple '10-cent' tuning solution isn't available. I'm curious to know what the risks are with cheap tuning boxes. The engine should be able to handle the extra power. Is the main problem really the diesel temperature?'
If so, is there no way to permanently cool the fuel line?

Why not? -> 10c-Fachartikel also has something for PDs (people with Parkinson's disease). However, it has somewhat worse side effects than with VPs (people with Parkinson's disease).

Where did you hear that?

PDs all have a fuel cooler icon_rolleyes.gif.

However, with some nastier side effects than with VPs...

Which one?

'Isn't there just a resistor inside those eBay tuning boxes?'

Hello,
Increasing the boost pressure with a 10-cent piece didn't work for me, even though I followed the instructions described in this forum.
Could it be that it might not work with older engine control units (ECUs)? (Volkswagen, year of manufacture 1996, model 1Z)

'Isn't there just a resistor inside those so-called 'tuning boxes'?'

Hi,

Do you prefer to rely on the sloppy work of others, rather than building something yourself, even if you know what's inside and that it's done properly?

Furthermore, the price of several euros for a resistor and two connectors, one of which only serves as a "dummy plug," is quite excessive.

What all of these solutions have in common is that you are not allowed to use them in road traffic.

Best regards,

Jan.

Then it was probably the wrong resistor... it's not good if you don't know what you changed.
If I were in your position, I would reinstall the original part and either try to understand the circuit in the control unit or have a chip installed.

Best regards, Rainer.

You're absolutely right about that. Where can I find the right connectors for it?
Is this available as a spare part from a VW dealer?
