VGT Turbo for AHU Engine

Okay, I'd like to know if it's possible to install a VGT turbo with fixed vanes on an AHU engine.

I was thinking about using a turbocharger from a G4 TDI engine, with either 130 or 150 horsepower.

I know it's not that simple, but I've heard that there might be a way to do it.

What are the exact differences? How are these excavators controlled?
Is all of this controlled by the control unit?

We covered that topic recently, if I remember correctly, and it was about a 1Z (EDIT: I misremembered).
Mechanically, it might be possible, but the boost pressure control system works on a fundamentally different principle. -> Replace the control unit.
