Bosch Aero Wipers: Reviews & Experiences

Hello.

I would like to hear your experiences and tips regarding the new Bosch Aero windshield wipers. Unfortunately, you always read so many contradictory things that you end up feeling just as undecided as before.

The reason I'm considering upgrading the wipers on my car is that the price of these specific wipers is quite high. On the other hand, conventional (brand-name) wipers aren't significantly cheaper either. I'm avoiding cheap, low-quality wipers because most of them streak and chatter even when new.

Let's just ignore the fact that the new wipers look much better.

Please share how satisfied you are. Unfortunately, I only have one example: This is my girlfriend's 9N. She's been using these wipers since May 2003, and the wiping quality is still very good (no noise, no streaks), even though they've often been used as snowplows.

The conversion would cost approximately 80 euros for my Golf (2 wiper arms + 2 wiper blades).

I have them on my 3-series and I can only recommend them. The people who are complaining probably just can't adjust the wipers correctly!

I still have the standard ones on my Golf IV (I've had them for 2 years already).
Wipes clean without streaks.

The only thing that's annoying is that when swiping down on the driver's side...
Disturbance causes droplets to form, and at speeds above...
"150 km/h seems a bit too fast; in my opinion, the wipers don't clean as well as the older ones with the driver-side linkage."
Spoiler (but maybe I'm one of those people who is too stupid to set them ).

A photo of your Golf3 where you can see the wipers would be great .

We have these things installed at all of our company locations, and BMW has something similar.
I find them slightly better on the Golf than on other cars. Generally, however, the Aero wipers are better than the conventional wipers, especially on the highway or in strong winds. In those situations, I find that normal wipers tend to start making a rubbing noise.
Furthermore, the Aero wipers seem to produce a more even wiping pattern, and therefore leave fewer streaks.

Okay, we installed the AeroTwins on our company vehicles, and the only issue we've noticed is the water runoff at the mounting point (which creates a nice puddle right in the driver's line of sight). Otherwise, even at full speed (just under 180 km/h), they wipe perfectly without any streaks or vibrations.

So, on my Golf 4, I always used the standard Bosch TWIN wiper blades, and I was very happy with them. They also lasted a very long time.

'On my A4, I upgraded to Aerotwin wipers because the standard wiper arm collects so much windshield washer fluid, and you can't get the windshields clean and streak-free while driving.'
The ailerons are quieter during turns and provide better stability at higher speeds (no fluttering).

So far, I'm satisfied, even though the price for what is essentially some plastic and elastic is really outrageous.

What bothers me about aerodynamic equipment:

1. The even more outrageous price (previously with virtually no alternatives).

2. That they are incredibly easy to steal without much effort, simply by raising your arm and turning the page, causing them to detach from the small plastic holders.

Therefore, my Polo has the "old" leaves all around.

Not in the case of the Golf 3; you can't raise the arms without damaging the hood.

I have a direct comparison between the Golf and the A6.

However, I can't find any difference between them, except for the price.

I don't quite understand.
Conventional wipers can also be removed in seconds.
-> Raise the wiper arm -> Turn the leaf -> Push it downwards.

These are now SWF Visioflex wipers, not Bosch Aerotwins.

Currently, both SWF Visioflex and Bosch Aerotwins are available as aftermarket solutions to fit the original wiper arms. This is definitely the case for the Golf III and IV.

Sure, here are the links for these retrofit solutions for Golf 3 and similar models.
But it doesn't really matter whether it's Valeo (SWF) or Bosch, the system is the same.

She installed it on my Corrado back then. It was perfect. The windshield wipers still worked great even at speeds over 200 km/h.

The windshield wiper (and only the windshield wiper) creates a spray mist on the windshield during the wiping motion after the washing cycle (with the spray nozzles).

The "square" connection of the blades to the arm is likely the cause. This creates turbulence that whips up the cleaning foam, causing it to be blown back onto the windshield behind the wiper.

In the case of the upgraded G3, this is particularly problematic when one of the twin beams is aimed at the end.

But, as I said, the T5 with Faecher nozzles and standard-equipment Aeros also does that!


Otherwise, these things are really great - especially their durability!
