Timing Belt Replacement VW Passat 3B 98

'Hi, I want to replace the timing belt on my Passat 3B, manufactured in 1998 (110 hp). I assume that the radiator needs to be removed for this. I've already purchased the camshaft locking tool and the pin to lock the diesel pump. Can anyone give me some tips on how to ensure that the injection timing is not altered? Also, any general tips or advice to make the assembly easier would be greatly appreciated. I would be very grateful for any responses. Best regards and thanks in advance.'
