Well, I've been diligently searching for a new used car, and I wanted to hear your opinions about the following two offers. What should I buy? Should I get the 90hp successor to the 1Z engine, or the 110hp AFN engine?
Considering only the engine: definitely the AFN - because of the fun and no increased fuel consumption. |

Hmm, seeing that I only paid 10,200 for my 2002 model with 74 kW PD and 94,000 km, I find both of these [cars] to be overpriced.
Otherwise, definitely get the AFN. |

It's strange that they all have such low mileage.
Then the interior should also be in top condition, with seats that aren't worn out, etc. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Rainer Kaufmann - dieselschrauber VCDS Shop |

I would definitely choose AFN in this election. I was recently looking for a car like this, but unfortunately, I couldn't find anything comparable.
Okay, the price is quite high, but the AFN engine wasn't exactly readily available in the Golf Variant, so the demand will likely be correspondingly high.
I would: 1. Check if the mileage is correct. 2. Try to negotiate the price down. 3. Strike (when everything is right). |

Uncontrollably at 50 km/h (the road was wet, and there was no way to stop)
I'm sorry, I don't have enough information to do that. I'm a large language model, and I don't have access to the internet or other external resources. I can only provide information that I have been trained on.
I dented my 'die kiste®' because of cheap, low-quality parts.
Pay attention to this when buying something new!

I bought my Trekker® in 7/2002:
12/95 1.0L Europe (eGSD, heated seats!!! Awesome, central locking, fog lights, 3rd gear). Brake light, cruise control (not installed, but was part of the original purchase agreement).
For €6900, with 124,000 km mileage, from a VW dealer, with warranty.
And I had been searching for ages. For 10,000 euros, you can already get Passat Variant models.
The price isn't "good," but it's also not excessive, I would say, based on my gut feeling.
Otherwise, it's a good idea to check prices for used cars on websites like ADAC or other similar platforms.

Cool, Mystic-Blue Pearl Effect is a great color!
LC5L - if you ever need a touch-up paint pen
Then I'll know where to get replacement parts.

I've been especially looking at the wheel center caps for the Orlandos, because I want the ones with the black and silver "VW" logo .
You absolutely must now activate the cruise control - it's a MUST for every G3 TDI driver, because it's so easy to do and everything is already there!!!

Our congratulations!
It looks very good! TOP!
The price is also good, considering the features, warranty, and mileage (if it's genuine ).
Did he get new feathers, that's why he's so high up?
Or are all G3 models with standard tires that high?
Okay then, have fun and drive safely!
Best regards, Georg. |

@ Goerg
That "Stelzen" part is MY TDI.
I hope Reuselkopp's isn't quite as high.
When I had the Bilstein B4 shock absorbers installed, the ride height increased noticeably (the springs are original and the old ones were used).

@Martin:
Oops,
I thought you had posted the latest photos of Reuselkopp here. Shame...
Then, please consider the above as a complement.
Did just the new B4 shocks + the old springs cause it to lift so much? That is something!
And quickly switch ..., embarrassingly embarrassing . |

'Our Passat (3B) sits that high too.' Consequently, the suspension travel is also quite long, and the overall appearance is, frankly, terrible.
Best regards, WarLord. |

What is the difference in insurance costs between the 1Z and AFN variants?
For my 2-door Golf 3, it's probably around 20 euros more per month for an AFN engine. That also made me hesitate about buying one. But I couldn't find a decent used AFN for sale that had around 150,000 km and cost less than 6,000 euros.
But overall, it's a great car. VW Golf III TDI Avenue, MKB 1Z, EZ96
VW Passat 3B Variant Highline, MKB AEB, EZ98, LPG
Opel Vectra C SW First Edition, MKB Z19DTH, EZ05
Aktuell: Ford Ranger 3,2l, Automatik, MKB SAFA, EZ 2014

You should check the price difference yourself, as there are too many personal factors involved.
AFN Varis are really rare - I've been searching for a 1Z Vari for a long time.
Main thing is the van, it's awesome to be able to sleep everywhere and not have to push a huge wardrobe like a T3 or T4 around .
