Hello,
'A hose that connects the turbocharger to the oil cooler has burst. I've replaced the hose, and I've noticed that everything underneath is covered in oil. The hose itself was also full of oil, and now I'm worried that my oil cooler is also full of oil.'
Surely, this can't be normal, right?
I thought the turbo was mounted on bearings, not on oil.
Is my turbo about to fail?

Try using the search function; you'll find a lot of information on that topic. Whether your oil level is normal or not is something you'll have to decide for yourself. A small tip: the oil doesn't necessarily have to come from the turbo; the crankcase ventilation system could also be a source.
