Fuel shut-off valve

I read this error code on my Sharan with a 110 hp engine, manufactured in 1997.
I replaced the valve. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
It starts up easily, briefly revs on its own, and there's a short burst of black smoke.
The light bulb turns on and then switches to emergency mode.

Yes, the wire is providing 13 volts.
