Hello fellow mechanics!
"Has anyone of you ever replaced the constant velocity joints on the steering column of a G4 or A3?"
I have the feeling that these joints are starting to have too much play, which makes it difficult to maintain precise control when turning on narrow country roads.
That's why I've been thinking about replacing these joints. Has anyone here had experience with that?
Are the joints available for individual purchase, or only the entire steering column?
I thought it might even be possible without disassembling the steering column (Optimist

), because by removing the lower dashboard panel, you should be able to access it quite easily.
Thank you for your information.
Regards,
Alex.
