Pressure Sensor Connector: Find Part Number 1J0906627A

Hi, I'm referring to a thread (Strange questions about the VTG turbocharger pressure control!).
I'm writing about something I read. My car is a G3 Variant, AFN, manufactured in 1998. It was about identical pressure sensors in Golf 3 and 4 for the turbocharger pressure regulation. Since the sensor for a Golf 4 is much cheaper than the one from a G3, I bought the one for the 4. The only difference seems to be the connector.
Unfortunately, it seems that no one at VW is able to find the correct connector for me. So, my question is: Can anyone help me who has an AFN engine with the pressure sensor part number 1J0906627a? And could someone please provide me with the part number for the connector?

Hi,

The 110 hp engine in the Golf 4 is likely the ASV, not the AFN. Therefore, it's quite possible that the pressure sensor isn't functioning as it should.

Regarding the part number: Why don't you ask the "friendly" person if you can have access to the parts catalog for a few minutes? It should be very easy to find it there!

I was browsing the parts catalog a little bit this evening.

According to my research, the connector has 2 pins and the order number is...

1J0 973 722

Make sure to also get the appropriate pre-made cables (approximately 25cm long) for the connector.

Soldering and then covering it with heat shrink tubing will prevent it from coming loose again!

'The friendly ones' usually only come in one color, but it's better than having to deal with those tiny parts. As someone with limited fine motor skills, I've had my fair share of experiences with that.
