Hello.
I'm having a problem with my fuel injection pump. I took it out and had it checked by Bosch, and they said the control unit is damaged, as well as a valve that controls the fuel flow or something similar. They said it would cost a fortune to fix.
Okay, so here's my question to you. Who can get me a pump at a reasonable price, or can anyone give me a tip about where to find one or who can repair one? I'm grateful for any advice!
Part number 059 130 106 D.
Can someone possibly help me convert a VW part number to a Bosch part number?
I have one with a 'd' at the end, and I just bought one with an 'a' at the end. Do you think they will match, or not really?
How is the start of the subsidy actually configured? Using a tester is clear.

Hi,
To the best of my knowledge, only Bosch can repair the VP44 pump. The engine control unit (ECU) is matched to the pump, which means you can't simply transfer an ECU from a pump that has a mechanical defect. However, no one has actually tried it yet. So, it seems the only option is to use online marketplaces like eBay. Gruß Christian

HI,
I had the exact same problem. I sent the pump to Bosch, and they gave me the same diagnosis. After a long search, even on eBay, I eventually bought a new one.

AL

Hello Altonno,
Did you have your new ESP customized, or was it perfect right out of the box?
What happens if I try to combine a VP44 fuel injection pump of the latest generation (letter D or later) with an engine control unit (ECU) that was designed for earlier models (e.g., model A)?
(Apart from the fuel injectors)
Is there a risk of a major engine failure, or will it not even start?
Best regards, Manuel.

Hi,
I didn't have to adjust the pump; it worked perfectly right from the start.
You need to be careful with the pumps. As far as I know, some have a CAN bus system and others don't.

AL
