Hello fellow mechanics.
"In principle, I would be very interested in a serious and well-informed discussion in this forum about the most gentle way to bore out a TDI engine (specifically VP32 models like 1Z, AFN, ALH, ASV... - because they are likely the most common ones to get more power, but also PD models if you prefer). Would it be better to use larger injectors, or increase the injection pressure (pump plunger)? Would it be better to have a longer injection duration, or a short and powerful one?"
When does it make sense to use a large language model (LLM), and what about the charging pressure?
If you were to combine all the expertise available here, I believe you could quickly identify a general approach to optimizing performance (e.g., boost pressure, intake air temperature, injection time, etc.) while still avoiding excessive modifications that could lead to problems.
I know that you can piece this information together bit by bit. I'm also familiar with all the technical articles, but I would be very interested in learning how to optimize the following components: fuel injectors, fuel pump (plunger), intercooler, turbocharger, and chip (I suspect the chip might be the limiting factor here), and how they work together. I believe these are the most common tuning modifications and also the most "cost-effective."
If this topic doesn't really belong here, I understand. Just delete it. I would be happy if someone wants to discuss it seriously. Golf IV - ALH - Erstzulassung 9/99
