Hello, I'm a bit confused about the current used car warranty laws.

I know this question might not necessarily belong here, but maybe someone can still help me.

'So, on my Golf (which I've had for about 3 months), the right rear side panel and the tailgate have been repainted. According to my VW dealer, it was done in a very 'unprofessional' way, using a single-color paint. For some reason, it's fading.'
When I bought the car, it was, of course, polished, and there was nothing to see.
There is a crack in the metal panel at the rear right corner, where it was painted. This is only visible if you remove the rear bumper cover.
Furthermore, it tends to start rusting easily there.

I would like to inquire about the possibility of making a complaint, as the purchase agreement states that the vehicle is accident-free.

Does hitting a pillar at the entrance to your driveway while parking at home count as an accident?


I just wanted to know this before I go there, so I don't end up being wrong or having no arguments. (It would be embarrassing).

Otherwise, the car is really great. The service history and other documentation are available up to about a year before I bought it.

He took my old car as a trade-in, saying:
'As is, I'll give you €1500 for it.'

I immediately said yes, and he doesn't know that the car has been in three accidents, but he also didn't ask about it.
Perhaps he can attach something to it for me as well.
