Intermittent Engine Misfire: Causes & Fixes

Hello there,

'Recently, I've noticed a slight hesitation or jerking during the warm-up phase of my 1.9 TDI engine (AFN, Passat 3B).'
Not really severe, but noticeable. It occurred both when using cruise control and without it. The engine speeds were between 1200 and 2000 rpm, and always only under partial load.
The phenomenon doesn't last long either. This morning, it jerked a couple of times, and then just now, it happened a bit more, maybe 5 or 6 times in a row.
Does anyone know what to do with this?
