Hello everyone,

While logging MWB 23 (speed regulation) using VAGCOM 409.1, the following values were missing:
MWB units.

The beginning of the log file looks like this:
Friday, May 20, 2005, 08:32:38
038 906 019 AM, 1.9L R4 EDC G610SG, 0813.

Group A: ,'023,,,,Group B:, Not Running,,,,Group C:, Not Running
(no units), (no units), (no units), (no units), ,,,,,,,,,
TIME,,,,,TIME,,,,,TIME,,,,
Marker,STAMP,,,,,STAMP,,,,,STAMP,,,,
,0.35,11.0,24.0,3.0,19.0,,,,,,,,,,

How do I get them?

Go to the corresponding label file for your engine within the VCDS folder, navigate to the relevant measurement block, and enter the unit there.

Guste.

@guste: Thanks for the tip, but what I meant was that I'm not familiar with this specific software, and therefore I only have a general idea that it displays information about PD elements.

I had hoped that with a correct label file, I would better understand what the MWB is saying.

It looks like percentage values ranging from 0 to 100: is that correct?

There are data points from the control unit that simply don't have units. If VAG-COM explicitly says 'No Units,' then that's one of those cases. This data type represents a number without a unit.

Unfortunately, there are also measurement groups that are not documented by VW. Group 023 on a 038 906 019 engine control unit seems to be one such case. And without any documentation from Volkswagen, it is not possible to create a 'correct' label file for it.

If anyone truly knows what the data in group 023 means for this control unit, it could naturally be integrated into the label files.
