Hello everyone,

small question for the ABS experts here:
In my 1995 Passat, as far as I know, the Teves ABS Mark II system is installed. (The STG number is 1H0 907 379). The Passat from 1996 onwards has a different system installed, which I am not aware of. I also don't know in what aspects the systems differ. However, the wheel speed sensors are very precisely differentiated, depending on which system they are intended for. However, the speed sensors (in this case, the gear in the brake drum) are always the same.
My question is now: Can I use an ABS sensor from a newer ABS on a Teves Mark 2?
continue?
To do this, you would need to use the connector from the old sensor, but what do you need a soldering iron for icon_smile.gif
But before I start and begin to disassemble the sensors, I would like to get some opinions on the chances of compatibility.

It would be great if someone could comment on that.

hello
Christoph

I have a Golf Variant, 12/05 - so a 96 model.

He has a Mark 20, and the sensors (at least at the front) are those from the Golf 4 / Ibiza etc.

The ABS itself has a Polo part number of 6N0 ....

I am correcting myself.
It's a Passat, number 3A0...

Replaced a sensor (front right) on Friday.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Hello,

Okay, then the 1996 Passat will also have the Mark 20. The question is simply, what is the probability that a Mark II will function correctly with a sensor from a Mark 20?

hello
