Hello everyone!

I can only confirm this from my experience with VW Bullies (T2, 1.7D). In the disabled transportation service, these little engines were only moved digitally, without any regard for wear and tear.
The result was a large number of cylinder head gasket failures, often accompanied by an additional crack in the cylinder head. And these are naturally aspirated engines, to be noted!
Conclusion: A sensible approach has never damaged an engine. That means: warm it up properly first, then put it under load, and after a period of high load, allow it to return to its thermal equilibrium before turning off the machine, right?!
Regards,
Alex.
