Sure, here's the translation:

'Just a question:'

In my Passat 35i 1Z, there's a small box in the engine compartment at the front that clicks (and will soon rattle) icon_redface.gif. I unfortunately don't remember the name }, but it's definitely related to the turbocharger pressure.

Is this normal, or should it be replaced? The car seems to be driving normally. What are the consequences if this part is defective?

Sure, no problem.

Regards,
David.

Hi.

das ist völlig normal. Wenn es defekt ist geht das Steuergerät in den Notlauf wegen zu hohem Ladedruck. Kapproximately 25 €.

Best regards, Claus.

Hello,

It's normal for the valve to click or tick. If you hear rattling, I would check to make sure the valve is still securely fastened.
If that doesn't help, I would replace the valve.
Tschüss

'In my Golf 3 (engine code AHU), this part always starts making a clicking noise right before it fails. I've already replaced it four times.'

Thank you for the answers.
Let's see how it develops...
I just noticed it when I recently had the hood open with the engine running, and our company's TDI vehicles don't make that noise.
Es klickt ja nicht ab& zu mal sondern die ganze Zeit... Let's see.

Thank you again for your help.

Regards,
David.

Hello TDI enthusiasts!

I had the same clicking sound. Michael II also helped me out before.
'In my car, the engine would intermittently go into limp mode (3000 RPM and a maximum speed of 130 km/h). A vacuum hose was kinked, and there were two error codes stored in the system.'

Boost pressure differential.

and, most recently:

Boost pressure valve N75: Open circuit/Short circuit to ground.

The valve will be replaced tomorrow, and I hope that will solve the problem!

Hawkeye.

Hello,

The magnetic valve N75 has been replaced, but the limp mode persists icon_sad.gif.

It clicks, but noticeably quieter icon_wink.gif.

Well, let's see if the workshop can manage to fix it???

Hawkeye.
