I find the Technical-News No. 10 (01/2004) very informative. Only in the CT 1028 is there a modified belt construction with the OE: 038 109 119 P. (see p. 10)

The CT 1028 K1 kit is used in the AJM engine up to engine number 185670; from engine number 185670 onwards, the K2 kit is installed. (see p. 11)

In addition, there is the CT 1028 K3 'for various PD TDI engines' (whatever that may mean), and the K4, which like the K2, but without a damper (see page 13).

Information: It definitely won't work!
Maintenance interval: AJM 60,000 km!
The guy was directly from the VW customer service hotline.
He had asked several times if he was really sure, and then he supposedly asked again... Answer: That's not possible!

Ahem: Are the parts genuine? And is it a 'wide timing belt' (I've only heard that information once)?
Can the dealership use these Volkswagen part numbers?
Do you happen to know if the serpentine belt is a Conti (I think it's the C1021)?

My workshop can order the parts, but it would probably be difficult to return them afterwards!

However, it's for an Audi, not a VW. I previously thought that even the first generation A3 models were subject to the 60-month service interval.

I've been searching for a while now, but I can't seem to find any reliable information... Some people say this, others say something else.

It seems quite strange that an Audi AJM engine should have a 90,000 km service interval, while a VW engine with the same code only has a 60,000 km interval (for the first service interval in both cases).
