Hello,

I'm having a problem with a Bosch VE6.
After the turbocharger swap, it starts to regulate at 2000 RPM instead of around 3200 RPM.
I've already tried various options for the start date of the funding.
Nothing helps. Increasing the flow rate also doesn't solve the problem.

How is the charging rate adjusted?
I hadn't touched the centrifugal regulator.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'Hello'

Hi there,

Perhaps the gas lever was installed slightly off-center.

Otherwise, adjust the screw where the throttle lever makes contact when the throttle is fully open.

Best regards, Michael.

Hello,

No, no. The gas lever is set correctly. However, its effect only extends up to the middle position...

I was able to fix the error today (after having removed and reinstalled the fuel injection pump 6 times and disassembling it again icon_twisted.gif).
You wouldn't believe what the cause was...
The bypass control valve on the return line icon_exclaim.gif.

I had installed the correct hollow screw with a restrictor, but I had modified the piping of the return line because a part of it had broken.
This resulted in a low internal pressure within the pump, preventing the motor from reaching its full speed.
Now I've installed a throttle in the return hose, and the engine has become much more responsive.

Best regards, Rodion.

EDIT 03/21/2007

Okay... after a 1500km tour, I haven't had any negative experiences icon_biggrin.gif.

Interestingly, the pump doesn't perform as well with cold oil.
It runs at a maximum of 2500 RPM. But it doesn't really matter, PÖL is a thing of the past... Especially considering the prices icon_rolleyes.gif.

The emergency bypass valve also performed well icon_lol.gif.
