HI.

I was just about to be clever and activate the folding function for the right exterior mirror. Unfortunately, while the folding function can be enabled in the comfort control module (BCM), the body control module (BCM) doesn't recognize the supposed presence of memory seats, so the feature doesn't work.

So, it seems that the position of the mirror is actually saved within the seats.

Too bad.

Hello Martin,

"The 'Automatic mirror adjustment when reversing' feature is activated on my G5, even though I don't have memory seats."

To make this work, you need to:
1. In MFA+, activate the function and .
2. Set the rearview mirror adjustment switch to the "R" position.

Once reverse gear is engaged, you can adjust the mirror as desired.
The position has now been saved.

He returns to the normal position when you:
1. You turn off the ignition or .
2. You are traveling forward at a speed greater than 15 km/h or .
3. Turn the rearview mirror adjustment switch to the "R" position.

I hope I have now explained what you were looking for. icon_rolleyes.gif

Best regards.

Hi.

Thank you, but:

I understand the "R" mirror calibration, but what do I need to do in MFA+?
I don't have anything to "lower" here... Only options to "adjust synchronously" or not.

Perhaps you have different STG codes than I do; mine all start with "3C".

And in the label file for the 3C Comfort package, it states that this feature is only available with memory seats.

In my MFA+ system, there's a dedicated menu entry labeled "Mirror Adjustment."
There will definitely be a significant difference between our control units.
My training will start with 1K.

Best regards.

Could you please provide me with the part number and long code of your TCU (Transmission Control Unit)?

It seems relevant:
46 - Comfort STG
Byte 14, bit 7.

However, even in VAGCOM, it states that this only works with memory seats.

Thank you.

I definitely don't have a good memory, but it still works.
Encoding is in progress -> PM.

Damn.

My "Comfort" menu looks different from the G5 menu shown on ...at. new_cry.gif

Regarding the mirrors, I only have "individual or synchronized" adjustment options.

It's really a question of how much one can "achieve" with coding in the context of 3C icon_confused.gif.

tonight...

Does your Golf start lowering when you turn the ignition on, or does the engine need to be running?

I don't know that off the top of my head right now, but I can tell you about it tonight.
However, I suspect that it does that even without the engine running.

F*CK

The grumpy girl doesn't like it:

46. "Comfort" allows you to "lower" the setting -> it will then also appear in MFA+.
But nothing is happening.
(At age 46, I have another 1K0 STG module, labeled "RLS...", but it doesn't have a long code.)

09 Body control module (BCM) does not accept "memory seats installed" - resets the bit to 0.

The 19 Can Gateway accepts the [36] electric vehicle driver's seat, but then displays an error message saying "no communication."

I can't achieve anything more than another unproductive entry in the MFA.

(It seems the cables for the footwell lights aren't available yet either - oh man!)

Okay, late, but finally.

The mirror also lowers even without the engine running.
Ignition, R-position + reverse gear alone is sufficient.

That's really stupid that your car is acting up like that icon_sad.gif.
The reduction is actually quite practical icon_smile.gif.
