Okay, thank God, there are still workshops where the people take their time and crawl around in the engine compartment. However, I found those in Italy.
The findings are limited, but I don't want to give up on this because it really bothers me (and the dog), and it might also be interesting for others, right?
Upon inspecting the engine, the only noticeable issue was that vibrations could be felt at the front engine mount (even when idling, and all engine mounts are new). This vibration is also transmitted to the front engine carrier. I would like to replace the two rubber stoppers at the ends of the carrier; these parts aren't expensive, but is it a complicated job? Perhaps they have simply become very hard over time.
That would address the symptom, but what's causing the vibrations? I contacted a motor repair specialist (this time someone who seemed competent and professional, not just a joker), and he suggested checking the vibration damper (the pulley on the crankshaft).
It will be more expensive, but easier to implement.
A simple test would be to lower the KRR (Kurbelwellenriemen - crankshaft belt), remove the wheel, and start the engine. However, I was informed by some Italians that this is risky because the ZR (Zahnrad - gear) could jump off. Can anyone confirm this? Perhaps I should have a custom plate made for testing, but I would need the dimensions (outer diameter, inner diameter, etc.).
Hole pattern for the screws, including the screw size (M), and the thickness of the washers used with the screws.
Can anyone help me with something?
