Using VAGCOM (a diagnostic tool), the wastegate control valve can be accessed via actuator diagnosis (with the engine off), and this will cause the variable turbine geometry (VTG) to move from stop to stop.
However, the vacuum pressure is only sufficient for a few complete cycles.
Unfortunately, with the engine running, the shut-off valve (at least on the AFN engine) is located before the turbocharger control valve, and when testing it, the engine will naturally stall.

, especially because the charging system only resumes operation after the ignition has been turned off and on again – meaning that before that, you can drain the battery, but the car won't start anymore.
And after turning off the ignition and turning it back on, the actuator diagnosis starts again from the beginning, so the bypass valve for the turbocharger pressure control needs to be checked again --> see above.
I don't know if it's possible to bypass the software by directly connecting the battery positive terminal. If it is, that would be a relatively convenient way to reset the VTG (Vehicle Tracking and Geolocation system) and hope for a fix within a few days or weeks.
However, in the medium to long term, I believe that the large container is the only real solution.
