Hello everyone,
I need your advice. My instrument cluster is malfunctioning; all the needles and lights flicker below 10 degrees Celsius. This seems to be a common problem with instrument clusters without Fis from Jaeger (manufactured in 2000). I've read something about a 'chip bonding' issue.
What happens if you plug a used AI into a FIS and leave one connector unused? Okay, the immobilizer will need to be programmed.
Does anyone have any experience?
Thank you very much.
Rainer.

Does anyone have any idea if the standard functions work when using a FIS speedometer?
Thank you.
Rainer.

"So, if you're already integrating an AI system with a FIS (Fish Identification System), I would also recommend adding a switch for it."
The switch costs around 40 euros.
If that's too much, you can simply connect the unnecessary signals to ground.
You also need to extract the login code.
That's actually quite simple with an A4, using a cheap EEPROM programmer from Conrad.
