I checked the specifications for the Onkel 7 (manufactured in 2007) yesterday, and it's true, it doesn't have a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Among industrial engines, you'll only find the 1.9L engine with VEP (Variable Emission Process) and a very old 2.0L 5-cylinder industrial engine (swirl chamber).

The 1.9L VEP engines have a fixed 228mm flywheel listed, while the 5-cylinder engine (MKB: 068)) has none at all. To the best of my knowledge, the Wiesel 1 air-portable tank is equipped with an automatic transmission and a different engine.

You're right! Now that you mention it, I once read a Motorwelt article about the PD engine in the Wiesel. Just so that he probably still has some protective measures against shelling there. But do you happen to have a manual for that engine?

However, I am also confident that the "next generation" of industrial engines will be pump-injector or common rail systems. You should take a look at the current catalog.

The Wiesel 1 is equipped with a 2.0-liter, 5-cylinder swirl chamber diesel engine, model code: 068.
The Wiesel 2 was then equipped with the 1.9L VEP-TDI engine, which is essentially the counterpart to the 1Z engine.
I don't know the exact engine code (MKB) right now, but all the information is available in the VW program, Uncle7. Currently, the 63kW version of the 1.9-liter VEP-TDI engine has the MKB code AFD, but that's already the new engine block without the intermediate shaft. In the Wiesel 2, the old 827 engine casing might still be installed.

Currently, both versions are available as industrial engines at VW: the 1.9-liter VEP-TDI and the 2.0-liter PD-TDI. CR isn't available yet, but that will definitely be coming soon.

Hello Thomas,

The model codes for the new PD industrial motors are, for example, CBHA and CBJB.
The flywheel is still listed as 026105269L, which was also used in the older versions.
"It was equipped with an industrial engine."
