Yes, that might be the case. Do you have a new LDA?

Yes, I bought it new, but initially, it didn't make that much noise either.

Disconnect the LDA tube from the T-connector and seal the T-connector.

Hello paddy84.
Okay, disconnect the vacuum hose that leads to the control unit and blow it through (clamp both ends). Alternatively, run a universal cleaner through it. You're likely to get a lot of oil out; it's a design flaw. In my case, it even caused the system to switch to limp mode under full load (which is quite noticeable when towing a caravan).
Best regards,
Ralph

So, to be clear, was there a solid, dense plug of oil sludge inside your LD tube, leading to the MSG?
Great story, I'd never heard that before - but it makes sense that the LDR would be acting up. Gruß Ulf

Okay, so... removed the hose and put in a new one. Removed the LDA (likely referring to a Lambda sensor or similar) and installed a new one. It seems to be working; the reading is currently up to 1.1. Does that sound right so far?

Well, as I said, the LDA only goes up to 2 bar.
Hmm, I'll wait and see if he does it again.
Can I purchase the sensor separately from the MSG unit?
I read that Motorola made a similar one, but with 6 pins, and you would only need 3 of them.

Hmm, I was happy for nothing. I just left, and he's already started again!
I'm not sure what else I could try. Do you think I should check the VTG? Isn't that the rod that's located underneath the can?

Can I purchase the sensor individually from the MSG (Multi-Sensor Gateway)?
I read that Motorola made something similar, but with 6 pins, and you would need something that only uses 3. | http://shop.dieselschrauber.de/product_info.php/cPath/43/products_id/291
I don't think the sensor is faulty.

The keyword "injection test" might be helpful if you need more information. Gruß Ulf

"so vtg is easy to use, so it's not the cause of the problem either "
What kind of connector is this where I have my LDA connected? Should it perhaps be the turbocharger pressure sensor instead?

Hi, I might be able to get a VW TDI K04 Garrett turbo at a good price. Would it fit on my car? I've also ordered a new vacuum pump and everything else. I think I've ordered the engine control unit (ECU) too, so hopefully, these problems will be resolved. But the question is, will the turbo fit?
