I have VAG-COM version 3.112 because it's supposedly the last version that works with optocouplers.
But the stuttering I described could be caused by the faulty potentiometer, right? |

Okay, I'm bringing this thread back up.
The problem with the emissions warning light back then was due to a defective activated carbon filter (for fuel vapors).
I recently bought this USB diagnostic kit here in the shop and have been using VAG-COM again after a long time.
The values for the throttle position are no longer fluctuating when the engine is idling (the original throttle position sensor is still installed). The engine continues to exhibit the misfire between 1400 and 1200 RPM, as well as the intermittent issue with the fuel consumption display.
It's not as bad as it seems.
My actual concern:
Over the past year and a half, there has been a gradual increase in fuel consumption, along with a slight decrease in performance.
Are there any standard mass airflow sensor values that I could compare my readings to? Or would cleaning the oxygen sensor make a difference?
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend. |

Hi,
Unfortunately, I don't have any data from comparable vehicles that would be useful for calibrating the mass airflow sensor.
It's unlikely you'll be able to verschandeln much on the lambda sensor.
Does your engine control unit provide values for lambda/mixture adaptation that could indicate potential sources of error?
Is the coolant temperature reading from the control unit/instrument cluster plausible?

Hi Rainer,
Yes, a value within a measurement block is labeled with "Lambda," but it is displayed as a percentage. I plan to extract more information soon, but I specifically need a label file for the AWG motor first.
I replaced the temperature sensor yesterday because the temperature gauge on the instrument cluster was fluctuating erratically.
See.
Okay, I understand. Please provide the German text you want me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. |
