hi,

I'm not allowed to write in the other forum, so I'm trying it here.

We have a Skoda Superb 2.5 TDI at home, specifically the first production year model, which means it's the 2.5 TDI with the lower power output.

And recently, we've been experiencing cold start problems.
"It hardly ignites when cold, and even after two attempts to ignite it, it still sputters for 5-10 seconds."

I removed the engine cover and saw that there are air bubbles in the main fuel line, which is visible when the engine is idling.

Where the hell does the air come from?

Is that correct, or is it not quite right?

If it has been on for 2 minutes and then you turn it off, it will start up immediately the next time. This only works if less than about 1 hour has passed.

error codes = nothing

Where does the damn air come from? Error codes = nothing

Hi, so it's not normal to have an air bubble, although a "very small" one might not make a difference.
Have you ever searched for "starting problem" or "air bubble" in the search bar?
If the glow plugs and battery are working correctly, then the air (e.g., a leak in the air line, a blocked air intake, a clogged diesel filter) is likely your problem. Connect the intake line directly to a diesel container and leave it connected, then try to start the engine icon_wink.gif.
