Hello everyone!
I'm writing on behalf of a friend of mine. We are a TDI community in Warsaw, Poland. One of our members is having problems with the clutch. And this is about the following:
The vehicle is a Skoda Superb 1.9 TDI with 204 horsepower and 409 Nm of torque. The following modifications have been made: chip tuning, complete exhaust system, and front mount intercooler (FMIC). The vehicle has a 5-speed gearbox. Naturally, the original clutch couldn't handle this for long, and it was replaced with a new one with a sinter clutch (special clutch). Now, after 20,000 km, it has given up the ghost, and now we are faced with a delicate and difficult question.
Is it possible to install a larger clutch with a 240mm diameter on this 1.9 TDI AWX engine? What should I consider when making such a modification? Which parts need to be replaced in addition?
Thank you for your help.
