Does the engine control unit 028 906 021 AF have a WFS (Waste Heat System), or are there versions without it?

Hello,

A question: I want to install a 1Z engine with a 028 906 021 AF engine control unit (ECU) into a T4. My questions:

Was there a version of this control unit without the WFS?
What are some possible signs that a suspected WFS (Wind Shear) might be present? I only have the motor with the wiring harness.
"Could this control unit possibly be adapted to fit my T4 WFS (which is a Multivan from 1995)?"
Probably a first-generation WFS (Wireless File System).
