VW 1Z Engine ESP Tax Signal (VP37)

Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me what type of electrical signal a VP37 electronic control unit (ECU) for a 1Z VW engine receives for fuel injection (not the feedback signal)? Is it a 0-5V signal, a 0-10V signal, a 4-20mA signal, or a frequency signal?
I want to build a generator for emergency power (island mode operation), and for this, I need a constant speed. The entire system is controlled by a PID controller, with the motor speed being the controlled variable.
The feedback signal would also be quite informative, but I think I don't need it.
"A signal indicating a delay in the start of boost would be helpful. Can anyone help me understand if the boost start is only dependent on engine speed, or also on load? Actually, if I think about it, it should depend on both engine speed and boost pressure, right? Am I correct in that assumption? And what order of magnitude are we talking about here?"
