A paint expert from Porsche Austria was just at my company, and he told me some interesting things about the 8P model.
Corrosion can occur 1. on the side panels in the area of the taillights (open the trunk, bend back the rubber seal of the taillight on the inside of the side panel and check for rust!).
2. On the tailgate, in the area of the drain plugs (if hard plastic plugs are installed, they may rub against the edge of the paint).
3. Along the trim pieces on all 4 doors (the trim pieces are clipped in and can shift, which over time damages the paint edges due to relative movement and causes rust!).
4. Front fender, in the area of the wheel arch (if the wheel arch extends to the inner side of the fender at the end, also through relative movements).
5. Corrosion on the Nonius B/C column.
6. Corrosion on the tailgate in the area of the auxiliary brake light.
Such complaints will be repaired under warranty! (at least, that's how it is in Austria).
