hello
Please provide information regarding the dynamic start-up process, specifically for a Volvo 70 with a 5-cylinder TDI engine (AEL).
Okay, I now have software that is specifically designed for Volvo. Here, I've tested a function, and the current values are:

http://gallery.localhost.co.at/d/10841-1/Bild.jpg

Does anyone have more information on this topic, especially regarding...?

The measurement includes engine speed, water temperature, and diesel temperature. The software was programmed by someone who is knowledgeable but not entirely experienced in diesel technology.

However, according to the research, the current measurements with 30° diesel, 91° coolant, and 1200 RPM should be acceptable.
Does the injection angle of 0.48 also seem okay?

Thank you for the tips!

best regards, uwe

Hi Uwe,

What should the injection angle be? Based on the wording alone, I would understand it as "the angular range of the crankshaft during which injection occurs."
Okay, but that has nothing to do with the start of fuel injection.

Sicher kannst Du doch mit Deinem Tool den Spritzbeginn anzeigen lassen. Stelle einfach sicher, daß der Istwert dem Sollwert in jedem Betriebspunkt folgen kann und das Auto vernünftig startet. DEverything is fine.

Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, for my ACV (Annual Capacity Verification), the following conditions are considered optimal:

- Idle speed (775 rpm)
- Coolant temperature: minimum 80°
- Fuel temperature approximately 50°

Thanks everyone. I just heard from a Volvo mechanic that 80° coolant is important.

I'm not currently able to achieve a fuel temperature of 50°. I think the tank would have to be almost empty for it to be around 0° right now.

Sure, here's the translation:

Here's the translation:

"Another question: If the value is incorrect, how is it changed?"

Is this something that can be adjusted through the software, or is it a mechanical adjustment?

Does this have something to do with the pulley at the front of the ESP belt? It has a kind of "pin" and can also be adjusted, right?

Sorry for my question, but I think I have a good grasp of the mechanical aspects, but I'm a bit unsure about the software support at the moment.

"Thank you."

That's exactly how it works. One is the tensioning roller, and the other is the adjustment roller. There's nothing you can do with software. You need to know how to use screws. }

That's exactly how it works. One is the tensioner, and the other is the adjustment roller.

Okay, thanks. I've always adjusted this setting knob so that the indicator is in the center – it seemed logical to me.

The memories I have of the service from years ago, when the friendly mechanic did the work, are a bit more involved – it seems like there was more disassembly and reassembly involved.

For tensioning, loosen the rear NW wheel. Use a 3036 counterholder or a similar device.

Okay, thanks. I found a helpful guide on the T4wiki about how to do the screwing.

Regarding this setting, there are different opinions. According to the T4 wiki, the following is stated:

32 and 72 can be adjusted to the optimal value of 52 using a deflection roller (provided they are in the "zero" position during assembly).

The value shown here was explained to me as follows (since I see a fuel injection angle value of 0.48 through the program):

One decimal degree = arc minutes / 60

"Now, the software is showing me that this value is right at the limit, but it's okay. However, if I convert it, I would be well below the 32 mark (around 2icon_cool.gif, which, according to Wikipedia, would no longer be acceptable."

What do you think about the values?

and a follow-up question - I've heard that there are people who intentionally move the decimal point back or forward - this must have advantages and disadvantages; is there anyone who can briefly explain this?

Just to be clear, I'm not planning on completely dismantling my car – especially since everything is working perfectly. My primary interest is in acquiring technical knowledge.

A thousand thanks to everyone!

The advantage of early replacement is improved starting performance, especially in situations with high mileage, where the pump is likely worn out.
The disadvantage is a slight deviation from the original emission standard, which, however, is not detected during the vehicle inspection.
