Due to my job, I currently drive an A4 2.0 TDI Quattro with 125 kW (BRD engine code). I've noticed that under full load, around 3800 RPM, the turbocharger is very noticeable, and it sounds like it might be leaking. Has anyone else experienced this?

P.S.: After a short period of adjustment, I'm actually thrilled with it, despite its high weight. It starts up great, but it needs relatively high RPMs to move quickly.

My fuel consumption according to the onboard computer: 8.3 liters.

Mileage: approximately 19,500 km.

Hi Alu.

Perhaps this thread is the right one.

Ich kann den Inhalt dieser URL nicht abrufen, da ich keinen Zugriff auf externe Websites habe. Bitte gib mir den Text, den du übersetzt haben möchtest.

With 8.3 liters per 100 kilometers, I'm already using quite a bit of fuel - you can see that on my fuel consumption tracker.

Unfortunately, that Fred isn't the right one; I checked, and the BRD model doesn't have it. For fuel consumption, it was mostly highway driving, maxing out at 120 km/h, but I was keeping the engine in the higher RPM range; otherwise, you can't really get anywhere with a 1.8-ton vehicle icon_rolleyes.gif.

What kind of equipment does it have? According to Audi, it weighs about 200 kg less than your stated weight (for the Avant model).

Ouch... at least, in my opinion, ultrasonic cleaning is pointless for injectors that are carbonized, it won't achieve anything in the long run.

I have to reiterate this point because: VW/Audi definitely has a carbon buildup problem with the 125kW PD-TDI engines, and - at least during the warranty period - they perform an ultrasonic cleaning of the injectors if the full-load lambda value exceeds 1.39. In my case, it happened after 60,000 km.

I could hardly believe it myself, but the differences before and after cleaning are strikingly clear. The engine now runs much more smoothly, responds better to the accelerator, and it's amazing how quiet it can be – or rather, how accustomed I had become to a certain level of noise!

Incidentally, these "coke formations" are not visible to the naked eye; they must be microscopically small.

I have attached two charts below showing the Lambda values (before/after). Unfortunately, I had to extract the "before" data from an air mass/boost pressure log from August 2007. If I had known the Lambda relationships before the cleaning, I would have created a clean MWB 74 log right before it. Nevertheless, you can see that the Lambda values are more homogeneous and, overall, lower after the cleaning. So, the cleaning definitely has a positive effect.

EDIT: The corridors in the "after" log are 4-5-6, but unfortunately, I no longer remember which corridors were in the "before" log.

Ah yes, there were also newer versions of the MSG software. The current data status is 2968.

Regards,
Peter.

While checking the maintenance data for a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) in a vehicle diagnostic system, I noticed that the loading coefficient is always displayed as 0%. I received an update from version 2762 to 3914.

Unfortunately, I don't have any comparison data for the 2762.
With the new software, the system performs a regeneration cycle every 400 km.

Does anyone know what changes were made to the software, and whether it's now normal for the loading coefficient to always be at 0%?

I've checked the mileage data for several vehicles, but something is displayed differently for each one.

Could you please read out what you have there from the MWB 68 form?
But I'm probably seeing a percentage value there as well. I checked at least 4 vehicles in the company, and something is always displayed.

It would be interesting if someone else has the same software version (2762) as this one.

Car is from the year 2008.
