Problem: After a VCDS update, a HEX-USB+CAN device (which has been replaced by the HEX-V2) is no longer recognized. The Windows device driver for the HEX-USB+CAN is not installed.
Solution: Install the "legacy drivers." These must be manually selected during the VCDS setup process; they will no longer be automatically installed more than 8 years after the end of production for the HEX-USB+CAN device.
The image shows the English-language VCDS setup; it works the same way in the German version of VCDS.
