VCDS 16.8.0: Channels Unavailable After Update

Has anyone updated their VCDS to version 16.8.0 and then tried adjusting various channels in the central electronics module (control unit 09) of a Golf 7R or Seat Leon Cupra (5F)?

"In version 15.7.4, I was able to adjust channel 24 in control unit 09 on a Seat Leon Cupra (5F). However, with version 16.8.0, channel 24 is no longer selectable via direct input. There is a channel in the dropdown menu with an equivalent description (now suddenly called "ENG10563-ENG11665-Mirror Adjustment,..."), but that channel is not available."

Unfortunately, there was also a firmware update for my USB KKL+CAN interface, which I accepted after some initial failed attempts with version 16.8.0. However, this means that the interface is no longer compatible with version 15.7.4. A downgrade of the firmware is not possible (and there is a corresponding warning message).

I have also tried reinstalling version 16.8.0 and installing the English version, but nothing has worked.

Therefore, my diagnostic software is currently very limited in its functionality.

I would appreciate any advice on how to get out of this difficult situation.

All German versions of VCDS have been exclusively available directly from Ross-Tech for some time now (the differences are limited to links and addresses). Distributors are no longer able to make their own modifications, so developing custom tests is hardly worthwhile.
That's why we have created separate configurations for all the programs that we provide in addition to the main software (KPower, KDataScope).

To allow us to better understand your issue and provide relevant background information about the vehicle when emailing Ross-Tech, please perform a scan of the vehicle(s).

With the new version 16.8.2, at least the channel settings are working again. However, it is still not possible to directly select channels by entering the channel number in the designated field, as the labels have completely changed and continue to change. This forces users to find the channels through the brief description in the dropdown menu. Even entering the new channel number in the field does not bring up the corresponding channel.

Currently, the version is VCDS 16.8.3.

It has been tested under version 16.8.3 and remains unchanged. The setting is possible, but due to the changed names, the channels can no longer be selected by entering them in the search field.
