R32 Grille for TDI Bumper: Buy Now!

"Warning: Complete idiots alert!" (in the car tuning scene)

We have this guy in the neighboring town who's really into car modifications, but he does a lot of things without much planning or expertise.
He doesn't do the work himself; he has it done in workshops in the surrounding area.

I was fortunate enough to be able to install a genuine, new bumper from a Golf R32 onto a Golf 4 TDI that had been in an accident.

So far, that's not a problem.
It fits perfectly; it's currently at the paint shop.

BUT: The Golf TDI has the intercooler located at the bottom.
The air intake is located in the bumper, which fits perfectly...
But the cover is closed, so no air can get through.

Does anyone know if there are any "open" grids available anywhere?
Before I start building something with rabbit hutch wire,
or to drill out the entire segments and file them down?

There are likely two different grille options available for the standard bumper. However, I'm not sure if the same applies to the R32 bumper.

However, since there are many identical parts, there is likely a similar permeable grid for the R 32 part as well.

Fortunately, the R32 came with DSG, and the transmission oil cooler was located directly behind the right grille, which made it accessible for DSG models. Part number: 1J0 853 666 J B41.

The side ventilation grille is quite large on the R32 bumper.
and the LLK is located directly behind it.
"It will probably work out. It doesn't actually look that bad. Of course, there are a few columns for the airflow."

when the bumper is back from the paint shop.

But, that's a good approach.
The car used to have a cheap aftermarket bumper on it.
and I once took it to a VW authorized service center because of insufficient engine power.
Of course, they immediately removed the cylinder head, but they didn't find anything.
Then I was allowed to reassemble the cart, and it worked again.

I still have that old, broken bumper lying around.
I have a feeling I know what happened... I'm going to try running it again, just out of curiosity.
