Indeed, I was bored yesterday while waiting in a car dealership, so I was browsing through some brochures, and I saw that a Superb with a 140PS TDI engine was devalued because it only had Euro 4 emissions standards... whatever those side effects might be.

I didn't pay attention to the timestamp of your post icon_redface.gif...

BTW, I don't know since when Skoda (mostly) switched to CR (Common Rail). It's quite possible that this hasn't been the case for very long. And who knows how long AB (presumably a company or product) pre-produced the test [item/process]...

As of the beginning of the year, Seat still had PD in its system.

The O2 facelift is still being produced with a PD engine if you want 140 horsepower.

I recently received a BMM (Bachelor of Management and Marketing) degree, and it still appears on my transcript.

You're right! The 1.9-liter engine still appears in the technical specifications on the Skoda website, but not in the price list. I think they are gradually phasing it out.

What surprises me is the fact that the Superb was tested according to EU4 standards, but now only appears in the lists as meeting EU5 standards. The vehicle is practically brand new. Surely, it must have been specially approved for those few months under EU4 before the imminent switch to EU5... I wonder if it was worth it; normally, manufacturers prefer to save money!

Weren't the first 3C CR models originally EURO4 compliant and then updated to EURO5?
And weren't there a lot of customer complaints that the boxes weren't even being pulled anymore?

Of course, that's possible... and some things are only understood by the oracle, and no one else.

Okay, so I'll drive the ASZ until it falls apart. Or maybe I should switch to Euro 5 before absolutely nothing is possible with Euro 6+x icon_smile.gif.

So, with Euro 6, the emissions of the vehicle occupants are supposed to be included, and the total emissions should then be about 50% lower than those of EU5... :schnell weg laufen: ... icon_lol.gif

Do you know the difference between the 140 hp CR and the 170 hp CR engines?
I ordered an Octavia Scout, but the 170 hp CR engine isn't available on it. However, it is offered with all-wheel drive on the Yeti and the Superb, for some reason they didn't offer it on the Scout.
Now, *** or MTM are increasing the power to 170 hp. The question is whether there will be a weak link in the chain, or not. The Haldex system will certainly be the same. What about the clutch, transmission, turbocharger, fuel rail pump, injectors, and intercooler?

If everything else is the same, then it would almost be a waste to drive a car with 140 horsepower...

Thank you very much!

Hello,

At the very least, the turbocharger is different. The fuel rail pressure and injectors are capable of delivering power close to 200 horsepower. The company with the three stars is probably not the best choice here, and I can't say anything about MTM.

Best regards, Rainer.

Thank you very much!

On Motor-Talk, the user "Porgi" did some excellent research (no guarantee) using the parts catalog.

Quote:
I once took the trouble to compare the 3 2.0 TDIs with 81 kW, 103 kW, and 125 kW (CBDC, CBAB, CBBB) in the AKTE system. The following results were obtained:

Identical are:

- Connecting rod, piston, piston rings, all bearing shells, oil spray nozzles.

- Cylinder head including valves, etc. (!), complete timing belt kit.

- Oil filter module, fuel filter, auxiliary water pump, radiator with dual fan, air filter, mass airflow sensor.

- Cr-pump, fuel injection system, injectors (!), exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), vacuum pump.

- Turbocharger and manifold from the 110 hp model = 140 hp; (by the way, as far as I understand, all turbochargers are only available as a complete unit with the manifold, so it's not cheap in case of damage).

- From model year 2010 onwards, the same intercoolers are used for all models. Previously, models with 110 horsepower used a different intercooler with a different part number, resulting in a 140 horsepower output.

Differences:

-The 110 hp model has a different engine block, crankshaft, and oil pump, as it doesn't have the balance shaft module installed (the 140 hp and 170 hp models are completely identical in this regard).

- The clutch, including the flywheel, is naturally designed to be torque-dependent.

-170 horsepower has a different water pump + turbo + exhaust system

Please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will then provide the translation without any explanations.
