Hello forum members,
I drive a Sharan TDI with 90 horsepower (AHU engine), manufactured in 1998, with a mileage of 277,000 kilometers.
Yesterday, the engine stalled several times.
'The heating element indicator light is flashing. After a while, for example, 5 minutes, the motor stops.'
After stopping the engine for about 1 minute, I was able to drive a few more kilometers (the heating element indicator was flashing).
Today, I replaced the diesel filter and checked relay 109, including inspecting the solder joints.
resoldered.
Error description: ==> After starting the car, the heating element symbol starts blinking after 20 seconds.
What could be the cause of this error?
Best regards,
mkersch

Read the error memory! If it's blinking, there's a reason, and it's described in there. MfG. Michael

Hello forum members,
I read the control unit of my Sharan.
It displayed a 'software error.' I reset this error. After that, it started blinking.
The heating coil is gone.
Today, this error occurred again: the heating element is blinking again.
The car would intermittently stall. After a short pause, it would start running again.
What could be the cause of the error?
Best regards,
mkersch

The problem is likely due to error code 00513. The cause could be a faulty sensor or a broken cable. Also, pay attention to the tachometer when the error occurs.
