Audi A4: Retrofit On-Board Computer (B4 97)

I obtained a display with a board computer (FIS) from an Audi A4 manufactured in 1996.
'The connectors fit perfectly, and it's working well now, except for...'
the radio display on the screen.
The radio (AUDI Gamma) is transmitting the signals; I tested this on an A6 model from 1998.
My questions.
'Does anyone have the encoding data for the display from a 1996 model? I only have the data for the display from a 1997 model.'
Do radio and FIS (presumably referring to a specific system or technology) even work together in this way?
Or does one still need to adjust any settings on the display?

Thanks for the tip. I've now connected all the functions, and they're working quite well. The power consumption display is still a bit glitchy (it stubbornly holds onto the last value when the system is idle), but otherwise, it's okay.

They always do that with the fuel consumption figures! Only VW switches to liters per hour when the car is stationary.
