Does the A6 C4 Avant rear door fit the rear door?

I have a question. I want to transport an A6 C4 Avant rear hatch using this vehicle. Will the rear hatch fit inside the rear hatch? Do I need a trailer or a roof rack?

Do you take a ruler or a saw?

Ooh... this could get really tight.
If so, only diagonally. Just measure it.

It's better to use a trailer (let me know if you need one).

Thanks for the offer, Bertil. I'll take the well-padded roof racks; that should do the trick. I managed to find some rust-free parts in Aachen. My trunk looks like it's in springtime; it's blooming everywhere .

You have to rotate it, put it in sideways, then it will fit!

Cosmic insight: The lid fits the container, but with a lot of space in between.

Nice rear hatch/door in the correct color and in excellent condition for €90. I had to take action.
