Post30-08-2004, 14:58    Subject: Golf 5 Problems: Tailgate/Rear Door Issues Quote

1. The tailgate is not closing.
2. The dashboard display shows that the tailgate is open, but it is actually closed.

Cause:
1. The upper part of the trunk lid (the latch doesn't lock properly) is jammed.
2. The bent connector is touching the microswitch.

Solution:
1. + 2. Replacing the upper part of the lock.
