Golf 1J1587: Haldex Control Unit Problems (Solution)

In some cases, the control unit of the Haldex clutch sends an incorrect message to the CAN bus when the ignition is turned on. This message is interpreted by the instrument cluster as "low engine oil level." In this case, the engine oil level warning light illuminates unnecessarily.

Cause.
Software bug.

Solution:
In case of a complaint, please replace the control unit for the Haldex clutch.
Part No. 02D 900 554C; Software version 0010 or higher.
After that, the error memory must be cleared.
