TDI AFN Vacuum Hose - MSTG

Hello,

I'm having a small problem.
After converting a Golf 3 1Z to an AFN engine, I'm missing the connection point for the vacuum hose from the mass airflow sensor (MAF).

Can anyone tell me exactly where this hose goes? I suspect it connects to one of the pressure pipes leading to or from the intercooler.

He seems to be responsible for the intake manifold pressure.

Since I have the pipes from the 1Z model, there's no connection point.

Perhaps someone has a picture where I can see it clearly.

Unfortunately, I can't find a vehicle like that anywhere in the area.

I found the solution in a thread - it's the lower left coolant hose.

The MSTG does not have a vacuum hose! It only has a hose for boost pressure (approximately 0.9 bar of overpressure).

I have a 1Z, but I couldn't follow your question - however, I would have been interested to know which thread you found something in.

Did you mean the connection for the pressure sensor in the MSTG (multi-stage turbocharger) on the intake manifold?

I misspoke - the hose is for the intake manifold pressure sensor, which measures boost pressure.

On a 1Z engine, the vacuum hose connects to a fitting located shortly after the mass airflow sensor (MAF).

Connect the AFN to the lower part of the LLK pressure pipe.

I found the answer by using the search function and typing in 'intake manifold pressure.' Someone else had a problem with the intake manifold pressure, and they were then given a detailed explanation of which hose goes where - that was it!

No.

On the 1Z engine, NO hose from the air filter ("immediately after the mass airflow sensor") connects to the manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP sensor)!!!

The only hose (other than cables) is the one that connects to the nipple I've circled in green.

And it measures the boost pressure just before the cylinders.

The hoses on the air filter and on the intake manifold (between the mass airflow sensor and the turbocharger) are designed as "normal pressure" connections for the exhaust gas recirculation pressure sensor and the boost pressure control valve.
