Hi.

I want to go to the hardware store later to look for some hose fittings to "block off" the EGR valve and eventually connect an LDA (likely referring to a different component).

Does "Schlach... 5x3" mean that the hose is 5mm thick on the outside and 3mm thick on the inside?

That might work because the plastic tube is labeled as 3.5x3 (meaning it has thin walls and is slightly larger on the outside than the rubber tube is on the inside).

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

5x3 refers to a hose with an inner diameter of 5mm and a wall thickness of 3mm. Be careful with the hose, it's very expensive from reputable suppliers. I paid just over €13 for 1 meter. Unfortunately, you can't find these hoses at your local hardware store.
I solved it by using a screw with the tip cut off; I just inserted the threaded part and that was it.
Have fun with it!

Hmmm...

I know what 'idxad' means (inner diameter x outer diameter), but I might be wrong... However, it's true that a meter of the (un)friendly material costs significantly more than 10 Tux. Check this out:

www.monopoel.de -> products -> hoses -> fuel, then the leak oil line. Compared to the (un)friendly [brand], it's quite a bargain.

I know how much the hoses cost because I recently replaced the one from the intake manifold to the mass airflow sensor (MAF).

I once bought some 4mm Gardena connectors at the hardware store; let's see if I can fit them into the hose...

Hello,
For pneumatic applications, we offer hoses in NW 3mm size, along with the corresponding fittings. These hoses have a nominal inner diameter of 2.9 mm and an outer diameter of 4.0 mm (alternatively, d=2mm inner diameter x 0.5 wall thickness).
Recently, I replaced a damaged cable on our Lupo 3L that had been chewed through by a weasel. The new cable fits perfectly into the original rubber connectors. Instead of being black, it's now natural-colored/transparent.
If you want to create (new) connections, you can use connectors or T-pieces from the standard program.
These components are available from companies like Festo, but also from various other suppliers.
At FESTO, for example, the hose has type designations such as PUN-4x0.75 SW (black PU hose, externally calibrated, list price €0.53 per meter + VAT) or PAN... (as a polyamide hose, €0.69 per meter).
Eine T-Verbindung wäre z.B. QST-4, eine gerade Verb. QS-4.
The filter (silencer), for example, used to ventilate an EGR line is called U-PK-3.
You can navigate the catalog quite well on the website (www.festo.de) by searching for products by type.

This should only be a suggestion, not an advertisement.

Best regards,
Ralf
