Hello,
has installed an Audi A4 8E GRA with a FIS (Instrument Cluster Information System). Now there is a problem with the brake control unit, as the operating number and the coding are missing. How can I solve this problem?
Best regards, Andre

1. Create a vehicle-specific login and enter it.
2. Create and enter vehicle-specific coding
3. Conduct reconciliation by the LWS
VCDS shows you how login and coding are generated.
It is possible that the ESP lamp may not turn off after these actions. Then you'll also need to drive a bit more on curvy roads and country roads. MfG. Michael

Thank you for your response.
1. and 2. have already been attempted. Still, it's not working. Especially, the WSC is also missing.

So, he logs in, but doesn't code?
WSC is completely irrelevant. MfG. Michael

So, wenn ich mich mit dem Code angemeldet habe und dann den Code eingebe, erkennt er ihn erst dann. If I remove the control unit and then re-install it, the code will be 00000 again.

The 3 mentioned points must be done at the same time. The coding will only be permanently saved once the reconciliation from the lumbar spine has been completed.
You must not leave the STG in the middle! MfG. Michael

Hello everyone!

That's not quite right!
There are STGs where the WSC cannot be 000...
Coding or any other access will then be prevented.
Whether this is the problem with this brake system, I don't know.
Simply enter a fantasy number for the VCDS setting for the WSC, save it, and then try again.

ok, thanks to both of you
Okay, here's the translation:
so, again for the really dummies
1. First, log in using the vehicle-specific code.
2. Coding with vehicle-specific code WSC on 12345
3. Login with 40168 for default settings
4. Default Settings LWS
5. Leave the control unit. Turn off the ignition and then start the engine and take a test drive.
