The problem has now been narrowed down; it is highly likely that the NHG (presumably a component) is causing the engine misfire in my Audi 80 TDI 1Z.

Where can I find something like this cheaply? My uncle wants 243 euros in exchange for it in Austria, which is a bit too much for me.

Hello Joe,

"As far as I know, the needle lift sensor is not available as a separate part. At least in the AFN engine, it's integrated into the injector of the 3rd cylinder. I had to pay a lot of money for that injector when I replaced all the injectors, especially because, according to Bosch service in Munich, they no longer offer it as a replacement part. Maybe it's different in Austria, but the new injector cost me 450 euros! If it were available for exchange, it would have been in your price range."
But they only told me that when I went to pick up the new nozzles.

Do the 1Z engines have the same injectors as the AFN engines? Probably not, right? I happen to have a used set at home.

Best regards,
Ernst.

Hi,

Go to a parts dealer that carries Bosch products. Mine wants 127 euros for the 1z NHG in exchange icon_exclaim.gif. If you're lucky, you might also find the part on eBay for less (but be careful: make sure to check the part number icon_exclaim.gif).

Für Antworten danke ich Euch im Voraus. Gruß Christian

'Last December, I completely replaced all the injectors in my 1Z engine. I paid approximately 380 euros directly to Bosch for the complete set, including about 140 euros for the injector with the NHG code! eBay might be an option, but only if it's brand new (there are enough scammers who sell their defective items there for exorbitant prices!), and the part number must match.'

Hello, I replaced my four injectors with new ones from NHG in my Golf 1 this spring. I bought them new on eBay for 200 euros. VW wanted over 500 euros for the same parts.

Best regards,

Hello Maik,

Who sells new nozzles on eBay, private individuals or companies?

'@ Ernst, the AFN nozzles have a larger cross-section. If all four nozzles are replaced, it's not a problem, but rather a kind of minor tuning.'
Are your used AFN nozzles still in good condition? Or, for what reasons did you replace them?

Hello Joe,
was a private individual. With a lot of luck, one finds something like that icon_smile.gif.

'I also inquired with Henzo back then! The prices weren't significantly different from Bosch's replacement part prices. Bosch had the parts in stock at the time, while Henzo would have needed about 1 1/2 weeks. Nevertheless, www.dieselsend is a great website with good prices. The glow plug prices, in particular, are very good.'
