Hello everyone,
I recently installed 18-inch alloy wheels with dimensions 8J18 ET 35 and tires 235/40 ZR18-91 on my A6 (manufactured in 1999). The permissible axle load at the front is 1185 kg and at the rear is 1100 kg. This already looks quite good, but I would now like to lower it a bit more. Please note the following criteria:
1. I have combined a pneumatic suspension with shock absorbers and a normal spring on the rear axle. (After installing the suspension, how can I set the basic position of the pneumatic suspension to the new vehicle height?)
2. I have a caravan (ZgG 1300 kg). How low can I go without having problems when pulling my caravan?
3. Good balance of comfort and hardness.
4. I definitely don't want to engage in any kind of gambling or similar activities.
5. I hear from many people that when they buy a 30mm suspension, it actually lowers the car by 50mm?? What ACTUAL lowering would you recommend for me?
Best regards
Chris
