VR6 Engine Misfire: Causes & Solutions (Solution)

Hello everyone, I have a T4 with a 2.8L, 150kW engine, engine code AXK (year 2003).
The engine has been converted to run on gas.
"The engine sometimes runs unevenly, and then it misfires in the first cylinder. All the spark plugs and one ignition coil (for the first cylinder) are new. The compression is also fine. The problem occurs in both gasoline and gas operation. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Could it be that a fuel injector is leaking?"
"Oh yes, during the test drive, it started beeping after a while, without any warning lights or error messages in the system. The beeping stops when the car is stationary - so it only happens while driving, which is very suspicious."

Which gas system is installed?

In gas systems, the supply lines to the injectors are usually connected to the control unit (ECU) of the gas system. There may be a problem with the control unit itself or with the wiring harness.

"As a test, you could try connecting the factory-installed injector hose directly to the injector and then testing it to see if it runs on gasoline."

It has an OMVL-XXI-P installed.

It was an injector nozzle. But removing the intake manifold is really not fun. At least it's running perfectly again now.

Interesting, because the error occurred when operating on both gas and gasoline.
Most likely, the MSTG (presumably a control unit) detected the engine running on gasoline and deactivated the corresponding injector, which then also prevented the gas injector from being activated.
